Vol. 73: Narrow Gauge Alternative View 2013

Vol. 73: Narrow Gauge Alternative View 2013

Ref: JM1073D

Price:£15.95

Quantity:

This series of "Alternative Views" features footage that Jon Marsh was unable to fit onto the "Narrow Gauge Review" series.

In this volume the bulk of the footage was supplied by Dave and Tom Waldren and mainly shows The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways.

Starting in the snow at Easter we then see action in May, the Superpower weekend and the FRs "1963 And All That". Also a feature shows action with the recently returned to steam K1 on a demonstration freight train.

From the same team are visits to Leighton Buzzard, Statfold, The Perrygrove Railway and the Keef Open Day with the two, just restored metre gauge Krauss locos. All the Waldren footage is in 16:9.

The remainder in 4:3 covers a visit to Weston Zoyland Pumping station is filmed by my daughter Vicky. A few short clips of the WHR Superpower weekend by Dave Kent and finally a late report from Jon Marsh on a remarkable story from The Launceston Steam Railway. A post script are shots in The Harz, taken by Ed Uppington on his phone.

Vol. 75: Industrial Railways in Britain No.7 - Phil Tatt's Industrial Collection Part 2

Vol. 75: Industrial Railways in Britain No.7 - Phil Tatt's Industrial Collection Part 2

Ref: JM1075D

Price:£15.95

The seventh part of Jon Marsh's series on industrial railways in the 1960s and 1970s. In this volume we use the second half of Phil Tatt's industrial railways collection filmed during the 1960s.

We visit Sharpness, Port of Bristol, NCB in Somerset, NCB Walkden, Thurrock cement, Charlton United Glass, British Sugar, power stations, gas works, Bowaters, Seaham Harbour, Doxfords, NCB Lambton, NCB Ashington, Wemyss Private Railway, Glenfields and much more

NOTE FROM WOLVERTON RAIL: There was a sub-title numbering error on the sleeves from no.6 onwards. They are one part number too low. The sub-title of the sixth volume was printed as another No.5 whereas it should have been No.6 (subsequently, No.6 should be No.7, No.7 should be No.8) So there are/were two different volumes with No.5 in the title on the sleeve. This has now been corrected but there are DVDs out there with incorrectly numbered sub-titles on the sleeve (the volume numbers are correct). Here I use the corrected sub-title but the sleeve photo shows the incorrect sub-title.
