National Coal Board Locomotives 1963 to 1964 During 1963 and 1964, Ivo Peters visited 21 collieries in Ayrshire followed by Walkden near Manchester. We then move to the East Midlands around Nottingham, followed by the Cannock Chase area and finally to Warwickshire.

On the inside of the cover is a full list of the collieries visited plus the locomotives, their notation, makers, date of manufacture and name or number in order of appearance. Ivo Peters first visited the Isle of Man in 1961 (see volume 9). In 1963 he spent the first week in July on the island, when he filmed and photographed both the north and south lines out of Douglas.

This video looks at the general daily maintenance of the locomotives, along with the sorting of stock for the day's running. We then travel the southern line towards Port Erin, followed by the northern route, first to St. Johns and then on towards Peel and Ramsey. Ivo filmed at most of the stations as well as many locations between, inlcuding the two viaducts on the Ramsey line and "the race" out of St. Johns, with his customary unerring eye for a beautiful setting.
